Wander

Wander is a free map app for planning trips, available for iPhone and Android. Paste a link to an Instagram or TikTok post, a YouTube video, a Pinterest pin or a travel blog, and its AI picks out every place mentioned and pins it to your map, so the places you save while scrolling end up somewhere you can use them.

Alongside your own saves, Wander shows official maps published by destinations and tourism boards, with the trails, places to eat and places to stay they recommend, plus what is on locally, such as concerts, festivals and markets. You can follow friends to see the places they have saved and their notes on them, and plan an itinerary with the people you are travelling with.

Wander AI answers questions such as "good coffee near me" or "where should I go this weekend" by dropping suggestions onto the map, taking into account your saved places, your friends' picks and the destination's official recommendations. Maps can be downloaded for offline use, which helps when you lose signal or want to avoid roaming charges.

It suits travellers who find ideas on social media and want them organised by location rather than lost in a list of saved posts. Its strength is planning and discovering places; for driving directions and live traffic, Waze and Here WeGo are built for that job.
