Trekific is a curated directory of travel websites, apps and companies, grouped by the part of a trip they help with: flights, places to stay, insurance, getting around, staying connected and more. It exists so you can compare the useful options for one job in one place, rather than searching for each.

Who Curates Trekific

Trekific is curated by a full-time traveller who has been on the road since 2009, visiting and living in countries around the world. Stays have ranged from a day or two to a few months, from holiday destinations such as the Caribbean and Southeast Asia to cities including Miami, Barcelona, London and Melbourne.

How Listings Are Chosen

Every listing has to be travel related and, just as importantly, useful to travellers. Listings are chosen by hand, not generated from a feed or a database of every company in a category. Many have been used first-hand on those trips, others were recommended by fellow travellers, and some were found while planning trips.

Each listing describes what the service does, who it suits and how it charges. Listings do not quote prices, because prices change too often to keep accurate. When a service closes or stops doing what it was listed for, its listing is removed, or, if people still look for it, marked as closed with alternatives.

Do Businesses Pay to Be Listed?

Being listed is free and depends only on whether a service is useful to travellers. A listed business can pay for an enhanced listing, which adds an expanded description and a screenshot it supplies. Paying never decides whether a business is listed or how its service is described.
